The Entebbe Golf Club brought the curtain down on the 2025 NCBA Golf Series with a vibrant final leg that showcased Uganda’s finest golfing talent.
The event, which drew players from across the country, sealed Uganda’s team for the regional grand finale in Muthaiga, Nairobi.
The Entebbe leg winner now joins Jinja champion James Abiria and Uganda Golf Club’s Gabriel Amani Beau to represent Uganda at the Muthaiga showdown, where they will compete against the region’s top amateur golfers for the coveted East African title.
Now in its third season, the NCBA Golf Series has established itself as a key breeding ground for young and upcoming golfers in East Africa.
The Entebbe finale lived up to that reputation, as participants displayed skill, patience, and precision on a challenging course that demanded both technical and mental toughness.
NCBA Bank Uganda CEO Mark Muyobo reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to supporting golf development across the region, emphasizing that the series is about more than just competition.
“Our mission is to nurture talent, provide meaningful exposure, and create clear pathways for Ugandan golfers to excel both regionally and beyond,” he said.
This year’s tournament integrated NCBA’s Muzuri Pay digital platform into every stage of the competition, from registration to refreshments, giving players and spectators a seamless experience.
Uganda, which sent a record 18 golfers to last year’s Nairobi finale, once again showed the depth of its golfing pool, with standout performances across several categories.
