Manchester United claimed a crucial third successive Premier League win, beating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 in a dramatic encounter at Old Trafford.
United raced into a commanding lead with goals from Matheus Cunha (24′), scoring his first for the club, and a Casemiro deflection (34′). Bryan Mbeumo made it 3-0 on 61 minutes.
However, the home side faced a nervous finish as Danny Welbeck (74′) pulled one back with a brilliant free-kick against his former club, and Charalampos Kostoulas headed home (90’+2) to make it 3-2.
The tension was finally eased deep into stoppage time when Mbeumo drilled home his second goal (90’+6), sealing the 4-2 victory and moving United up to fourth in the table.
