Premier League leaders Arsenal secured their ninth consecutive victory in all competitions with a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor, moving them seven points clear at the top of the table.
Mikel Arteta’s side sealed the victory in the first half with goals from Viktor Gyökeres (14′) and Declan Rice (35′). Gyökeres opened the scoring from a Rice corner, highlighting Arsenal’s league-leading threat from set-pieces.
Rice then powerfully headed in a chipped ball from Leandro Trossard for the second.
The result also marked Arsenal’s seventh consecutive clean sheet, demonstrating the defensive strength that is fuelling their title challenge.
Despite a late chance from Marcus Edwards hitting the post for Burnley, the game was largely untroubled for the Gunners.
Defeat leaves Burnley in 17th place, four points above the relegation zone.
