BUL head coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko made a comeback to the touchline with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Express FC in a Uganda Premier League matchday five clash at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The match marked Kikomeko’s first appearance on the bench after serving a six-month FUFA suspension and paying a UGX 5 million fine for violent conduct and threatening match officials during last season’s Uganda Cup tie against Kitara FC.
The ban kept him out for the closing stages of last season and BUL’s first four games of the current campaign.
Back in charge, Kikomeko praised his players for their effort and fighting spirit, saying they created enough chances to win.
“We got a couple of chances that we didn’t take, but with this draw, we can build on that,” he said.
Kikomeko added that the team’s focus now turns to their next fixture against NEC FC, as they look to bounce back to winning form with the season gaining momentum.
