Wolverhampton Wanderers have fired head coach Vitor Pereira following a disastrous start to the 2025/2026 Premier League season.
The sacking comes after the team failed to win any of their first 10 league games, leaving them bottom of the table and eight points from safety.
The final straw was a 3-0 defeat by Fulham on Saturday, their eighth league loss.
This decision comes despite Pereira signing a new three-year contract just two months ago in September.
Pereira, who took charge in December 2024 and guided the club to safety last season, faced mounting pressure after a difficult summer that saw key players like Matheus Cunha (£62.5m to Man Utd) and Rayan Ait-Nouri (£31m to Man City) depart.
The manager admitted the Fulham performance was “maybe the worst performance for my team.”
Wolves now begin the search for their fifth permanent manager in four years as they attempt to avoid relegation.
