All seven East African Community (EAC) member states have confirmed participation in the 15th edition of the EAC Inter-parliamentary Games, set to take place next month in Uganda.
The annual regional event brings together legislators from across the bloc to compete in various sporting disciplines while promoting unity, cooperation, and cultural exchange through sport.
Local Organizing Committee Chairperson Hon. Asuman Basalirwa expressed confidence that Uganda is ready to stage one of the most memorable editions yet.
“We are fully prepared to host our brothers and sisters from all partner states. Uganda is ready to deliver an exciting and well-organized tournament that will reflect the spirit of East African unity,” Basalirwa said.
The Inter-Parliamentary Games have become a key platform for fostering regional integration beyond politics, offering lawmakers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo an opportunity to bond and build friendships through teamwork and competition.
