The Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) has received a UGX 10 million boost from Lakhani Motors ahead of the 2025 Uganda Open Table Tennis Championship, set for December 6–7 at Kabojja International School in Kampala.
During the handover ceremony, UTTA President Cyrus Mark Muwanga praised the contribution, describing it as a key step toward strengthening the sport’s foundation.
“When I took office, I purposed to bring as many sponsors on board as possible. Lakhani Motors is among the first of many partners who share our vision to elevate table tennis across the country,” said Muwanga.
The sponsorship will cover tournament expenses such as branding, logistics, and general organization to ensure a smooth and successful event.
Lakhani Motors representatives reaffirmed the company’s long-term interest in supporting table tennis and other sports initiatives, noting its broader corporate social responsibility programs in health and community development.
Having operated in Uganda for over 20 years, Lakhani Motors has earned a reputation for quality and reliability, values that align with its approach to partnerships and social impact.
The collaboration marks another milestone in UTTA’s ongoing drive to engage the private sector in growing the visibility, professionalism, and impact of table tennis nationwide.
