South Sudan international defender Rashid Toha has sealed a move to Saudi Arabian third-tier side Al-Shoulla Club.
The former Kenya Police FC centre-back joins as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with the Kenyan Premier League champions.
Toha has signed a one-year deal with the Al-Kharj-based outfit, who play their home matches at the Al-Shoulla Club Stadium. He’ll add leadership and top-flight experience to the club as they push for promotion to the Saudi second tier.
Toha becomes one of the few East African players featuring in the Saudi lower divisions.
Notably, Ugandan forward Musa Esenu plays in the third tier with Al-Safa Club, while Uganda Cranes midfielder Kenneth Semakula features in the second tier with Al-Adalah Club.
The 26-year-old defender rose to prominence with Onduparaka FC in 2016, playing a key role in the Arua side’s breakthrough in the Uganda Premier League.
He later featured for Vipers SC, Arua Hill SC, and Kenya Police FC, before making the move to Al-Shoulla.
