Over 80 riders from various classes are set to participate in the final round of the Mountain Dew Motocross championship at Extreme Adventure Park in Busiika this weekend.
The event, which will feature karting and drifting sessions, will be the season’s climax, with participants competing for prizes.
The event, organized under the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda, promises to be a fun-filled conclusion to the year’s motorcycling calendar. The championship kicked off in February in Kalisizo, and the final round will draw the curtain on the season.
Clerk of course William Semakula Katende said, “We have many activities spicing up MX 8. Drifting, karting, and super bikes are motorsport disciplines under FMU. This is the first super bikes event in Uganda, so fans will be treated to a show.”
Riders and drivers will receive lubricants and oil courtesy of sponsors Shell. The practice, inspection, and jury meeting will take place on Saturday, with the finals scheduled for Sunday.
