The exhibition boxing match between Jake Paul and world champion Gervonta Davis, set for November 14 in Miami and scheduled to stream on Netflix, has been cancelled.
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced the decision following a lawsuit filed against Davis by his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel.
The complaint accuses the boxer of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and emotional distress based on multiple alleged incidents.
MVP stated the decision was made after an investigation to “navigate this situation responsibly.”
Paul, co-founder of MVP, expressed his apologies to those involved on X, calling the process of working with Davis “an absolute nightmare.”
Davis has a history of legal troubles, including previous domestic violence charges and a 2023 jail sentence for a hit-and-run violation.
MVP plans to continue with a Jake Paul-headlined Netflix event in 2025.
