Tottenham Hotspur are supporting defender Destiny Udogie after confirming the Italy international was allegedly threatened with a gun by a football agent during an incident in London on September 6.
“We have been providing support for Destiny and his family since the incident and will continue to do so,” Tottenham stated on Tuesday.
The Metropolitan Police are investigating the alleged threat, which reportedly also involved another man being blackmailed.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on September 8 on suspicion of firearms offences and blackmail. He has been released on bail as enquiries continue.
Udogie, 22, has continued to play for Spurs following the incident.
