The 2025 Man vs Machine championship was launched on Tuesday November 12 in Namanve, confirming a two day program that will run from November 16 to 17.
The Uganda Street Racers Association, working with the Central Motor Club, unveiled the event at Kampala Nile Resort Hotel and outlined a plan to formalize street racing through a regulated competition environment.
Scrutineering will open the program on November 15 and more than 36 racers are expected to take part.
The field will compete across dragging, drifting, and Time Attack, with both bikes and cars lined up for head to head contests. The overall winner will receive a piece of land sponsored by Newman’s Foods.
Organizers position the championship as a step toward moving street racing into a structured sport with clear safety standards.
They noted the risks linked to the discipline but highlighted ongoing collaboration with the Federation of Motorsport Uganda and security agencies to manage safety throughout the event.
