Defending champion Jannik Sinner secured his third consecutive appearance in the ATP Finals championship match today, defeating Alex de Minaur 7-5, 6-1 in the semi-finals.
The World No. 2 stretched his dominant head-to-head record against De Minaur to an incredible 13-0.
The opening set was a close battle, with Sinner finally breaking on his eighth opportunity late to take it 7-5.
The Italian then raced away in the second set, securing two quick breaks to build a 4-0 lead before closing out the match 6-1.
Sinner now holds nine consecutive wins at the ATP Finals and awaits the winner of the second semi-final between Carlos Alcaraz and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
De Minaur, who finished his tournament with one win and three losses, secures his position as Year-End No. 7 and a guaranteed top-eight seed for the upcoming Australian Open.
