Germany demolished Slovakia 6-0 in Leipzig to win Group A and automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side needed only a point, but delivered a dominating display, racing to a 4-0 lead by half-time.
Nick Woltemade opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a header, followed quickly by Serge Gnabry (29′). Leroy Sané then netted a quick-fire double (36′, 41′), both assisted by Florian Wirtz.
The second half saw Ridle Baku add a fifth (67′), scoring his first German goal since 2021. The rout was completed by debutant Assan Ouedraogo, who finished smartly just two minutes after coming on (79′).
The impressive win, watched by 40,120 fans, sealed Germany’s place in the tournament and marked their fourth consecutive clean sheet.
Slovakia now heads to the play-offs following the crushing defeat.
