The Man vs Machine weekend closed on Sunday with Nassif Kyagulanyi taking the overall win in Namanve, topping a field of cars and bikes across two days of drifting, dragging, gymkhana, and Time Attack.
The championship, run by Central Motor Club and the Uganda Street Racers, delivered a full program on Saturday and Sunday with FMU overseeing safety and time control.
Organizers confirmed the results using the completed runs after FMU stopped the final fight race when the program ran past time.
Kyagulanyi’s pace in the Golf 7 kept him in control throughout the meet and his performance secured the land title on offer for the winner.
Richard Kaliisa finished second in the BMW M8, and the leading pack also featured Khan in the VW Scirocco and Frank in the Subaru Legacy. Nassif’s car was tagged a 10 second machine after his showing.
The bike program added its own energy, with Kakyala Joel named the most entertaining rider of the weekend. Officials noted that all the riders contributed to the show.
In the competition times, Charles Mulondo led the bike leaderboard on the Yamaha R1 with a best of 1:29.3.
Drifting featured Dean Tailor in a Benz, Man Joes in a BMW, and Transporter in a Celica as the main crowd draws. FMU also released penalty notes, including time additions for cone knocks, jump starts, and missed cones across both cars and bikes.
