The Uganda Lacrosse Association has opened the process for schools, community clubs, and universities to submit dates for open championship tournaments that will form part of the 2026 season.
The Association says this call is aimed at building a wider and more consistent competition structure while giving institutions a chance to highlight their talent and support the sport’s expansion.
The association says it is targeting events that can help players compete more often, develop their skills, and deepen the sport’s reach across the country.
Interested hosts can submit their proposed dates through the federation’s official email [email protected].
The move follows a year of increased activity on the regional calendar.
Busitema University staged its Open Championship in November 2025, attracting teams from Uganda and Kenya.
Lacrosse also appeared as a demonstration sport at the FEASSA Games 2025, with both countries taking part.
Earlier in the year, the Uganda National Lacrosse League brought together eight men’s teams in a competitive May schedule.
The association says the 2026 calendar will aim to build on this momentum by adding more structured tournaments across institutions and communities.
