The 2025 KT RACH Women’s Basketball Tournament closed with a clear message of empowerment as hundreds of players gathered to sharpen their skills and grow the game.

Across the weekend, players delivered fast paced matchups and standout individual displays that highlighted the depth of talent in the women’s game.

Many participants praised the tournament for offering a safe and supportive space where women can compete, learn, and build confidence.

Several urged more young girls and women across Uganda to join sports as a path to both personal and professional development.

Organizing committee member Linda Wefila said the goal of the tournament reaches far beyond the action on the court.

She described it as an important platform for raising awareness, increasing participation, and promoting healthier lifestyles among female athletes.

Wefila added that the initiative was created to inspire women by giving them skills and knowledge that support both their sporting journey and their wider wellbeing.

Winners received cash prizes, medals, and opportunities for skill development, closing the tournament with a strong message that growth, exposure, and empowerment remain central to the KT RACH vision.
