Uganda has confirmed its place among the 48 African countries registered for the IBA Ordinary Congress that will be held in Dubai on December 13, 2025.
The gathering will run alongside the 23rd IBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships, which begin on December 2, turning Dubai into a major meeting point for global boxing stakeholders throughout the week.
The event comes at a milestone moment for the sport as the championships mark the 75th anniversary of the International Boxing Association. Delegates, athletes, and officials from across the world will take part in a range of key IBA programs that are expected to shape future policy and competition pathways.
These include the IBA Business Forum, the IBA Pro Face Off, and several strategic sessions for national federations.
The Men’s World Championships will be the main highlight on the competition schedule, while the Congress on December 13 will close the week, followed by the finals and a gala dinner.
African participation remains strong, with nations from every region of the continent listed among the confirmed delegates.
