Chelsea star Cole Palmer is already back training on the grass with a specially-adapted boot, despite breaking his little toe less than a week ago.
The 23-year-old England international is expected to miss tomorrow’s Champions League match against Barcelona.
Coach Enzo Maresca delivered a mixed fitness update, calling the return to training “good,” but admitting he would be “surprised” if Palmer is fit for Sunday’s massive Premier League clash against Arsenal.
Maresca confirmed the injury, sustained when Palmer stubbed his toe on a door, is progressing well.
The coach described the upcoming Barcelona and Arsenal games as a “seismic week” for the Blues.
