URA have moved quickly to identify potential replacements after parting ways with head coach Alex Isabirye and his entire technical team following a poor run of results.
The club confirmed the exits of assistants Baker Kasule, Patrick Asiku and Damba Jamil, clearing the way for a full technical restructuring.
The early shortlist is led by Hussein Mbalangu and Morley Byekwaso, both seen as strong candidates for the role. Mbalangu is currently available after leaving NEC FC about two weeks ago.
Byekwaso, meanwhile, has been out of club management since before the start of the current season, though he guided the Uganda Cranes to the CHAN 2025 quarterfinals in August.
As the recruitment process continues, URA have appointed Edward Golola as interim head coach. He will take charge of the team for Wednesday’s league match against Buhimba Saints United at Nakivubo.
