Brentford secured a dramatic 3-1 Premier League victory over struggling Burnley on Saturday, thanks to a superb late double from striker Igor Thiago.
The match at the Gtech Community Stadium remained goalless until the 81st minute, before chaos erupted in the final 10 minutes.
Thiago broke the deadlock from the penalty spot (81′), only for Burnley’s Zian Flemming to immediately equalize with a penalty of his own four minutes later (85′).
However, Thiago instantly restored the Bees’ lead just one minute later (86′) with his 11th goal of the season, before Dango Ouattara sealed the 3-1 scoreline in injury time (90’+2).
The victory lifts Brentford up to eighth in the table, while the defeat marks the fourth straight loss for Burnley, leaving Scott Parker’s side languishing second-bottom with growing relegation fears.
