Napoli secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, moving level on points with Serie A leaders AC Milan.
The decisive moment came in the 36th minute when David Neres finished a rapid counter-attack, exploiting Roma’s defensive high line.
Neres played a one-two with Rasmus Hojlund before slotting past goalkeeper Mile Svilar.
The victory, orchestrated by manager Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system, was a tactical masterclass, ending Roma’s formidable defensive run.
Despite a late chance for Paulo Dybala, denied by Vanja Milinkovic-Savic in the 90th minute, Napoli held on for their third straight win.
The result sends Napoli second on 28 points, while Roma drops to fourth on 27 points.
