Anna Gloria Muzito has claimed the November edition of the Real Stars monthly awards in the athletics category, recognised for her breakout performances at the Islamic Solidarity Games where she secured three medals and established herself as Uganda’s top performer at the championship.
The Hungary-based swimmer struck gold in the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle, adding silver in the 200m freestyle to finish as the country’s most decorated athlete at the Games.
Her haul helped push Uganda to a combined total of 13 medals and strengthened her case as one of the nation’s rising stars moving into 2025.
Muzito edged a strong field that included long-distance runners Rebecca Chelangat, the women’s 10,000m champion, and Samuel Simba Cherop, who won the men’s 10,000m and 5,000m.
Her sprint mastery and calm execution in the pool positioned her as the standout choice for the monthly honour.
The award caps a milestone month for Ugandan swimming and reinforces Muzito’s place among the athletes expected to carry national hopes in next season’s international competitions.
