Manchester United secured their biggest win of the season, a dominant 4-1 victory over struggling Wolves at Molineux, moving them into sixth place.
The result, achieved with a season-high 27 shots, was witnessed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
However, the victory failed to quell skepticism about the team’s consistency.
Manager Ruben Amorim admitted the result was a “specific case” because Wolves were “really, really struggling,” and analyst Jamie Carragher warned that a “bad result [is] around the corner” due to United’s inconsistent form.
Amorim’s concerns focused on past points dropped and future player availability.
Mason Mount’s return to form was a positive, with the midfielder scoring his third goal in four starts.
Yet, the manager is uncertain about defender Matthijs de Ligt’s injury return and whether Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo, and Bryan Mbeumo will be available for the crucial upcoming fixture against Bournemouth before AFCON duty.
