The 2025 Corporate Games season officially came to an end on December 12 following a Corporate Games Dinner and Awards Ceremony held at Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi, marking the conclusion of a nine month programme that brought together companies from across the corporate sector.
The season featured competition in 14 sports disciplines and focused on fitness, teamwork, bonding, and workplace wellness.
More than 45 companies were recognised for their participation and commitment to the core values of the Corporate Games, with NBS Sport receiving the Best Media Award for 2025.
Speaking during the ceremony, Corporate Games organiser Solomon Rumanyika highlighted the impact of the season’s flagship events, particularly the Corporate Run.
“This year’s Corporate Run was the most successful we have ever had. Hundreds of participants turned up, and we raised enough funds to purchase over 1,000 Mama Kits, which will be distributed to expectant mothers next year,” Rumanyika said.
He added that the initiative continues to blend sport with social impact, while strengthening collaboration among participating organisations.
Representing Uganda Olympic Committee president Dr Donald Rukare, Beatrice Ayikoru praised the vision behind the Corporate Games and urged organisers to build on the momentum.
She commended the initiative for promoting healthy lifestyles within workplaces and encouraged the team to make the 2026 edition even more impactful for companies involved.
Several participating companies shared testimonies during the dinner, outlining key milestones achieved through their involvement in the games and reaffirming their commitment to return for the 2026 season.
Looking ahead, Rumanyika confirmed plans to expand the programme next year, with a target of attracting more than 50 companies to take part in the 2026 Corporate Games season.
