Barbara Kiwanuka Tops 209 Player Field as MTN Grand Tee of Tees Closes 2025 Season at Entebbe

Barbara Kiwanuka claimed the overall title at the MTN Grand Tee of Tees after posting a 64 net off a 35 handicap in a packed season finale held on December 13 at Entebbe Club.

The flagship event attracted 209 players and also confirmed the MTN Monthly Tee Order of Merit winners for 2025.

Kiwanuka’s round earned her the biggest prize of the day, a spare parts voucher worth one million shillings plus a duffel bag, capping a strong finish to the year for the ladies’ field.

Side bets added early excitement, with Martha Babirye winning nearest to the pin among the ladies and Ivan Ssetimba taking the men’s prize.

Peace Hellen claimed the longest drive in the ladies category while Peter Magona topped the men’s contest. A hole in one prize of a car was also on offer, presented by Castle Lite.

In the ladies results, Ntombi Kejem dominated the guest category with a 55 net. Tonny Kisadha won the seniors 55 plus title on 71 net. Charity Tushabomwe led Group B with a 70 net while Peace Hellen settled for runner up. Rita Apell won Group A on 73 net, with Rukia Nalwoga finishing second.

The men’s competition saw Mathias Kalule take Group C with a 66 net, edging Lloyd Busuulwa. Philemon Akaturuhira won Group B on 67 net ahead of Collins Nuwagira. In Group A, Allan Muhereza topped the standings with a 68 net, while Ronnie Kasirye placed second.

The Grand Tee of Tees also crowned the 2025 MTN Monthly Tee Order of Merit winners. Esther Aganyira emerged as the ladies overall winner with a best eight net total of 537, ahead of Peace Hellen and Edith Wamalwa. On the men’s side, Saidi Kirabira finished top with 543, followed by Arthur Arinaitwe and Mathias Kalule.

The season finale was supported by CFAO Mobility, WTW, Castle Lite, and MoMo from MTN, rounding off a year that saw strong turnouts and growing competition across the monthly series.
