The 2025 MTN Monthly Tee season concluded on Saturday, December 13, with the MTN Grand Tee of Tees at Entebbe Club, drawing a field of 209 golfers to mark the close of the yearlong series.
Barbara Kiwanuka claimed overall honours on the day after returning a net score of 64, leading a competitive field that featured winners across the men’s, ladies’, seniors and guest categories.
The finale also confirmed the season long Order of Merit champions, with Esther Aganyira finishing as the ladies overall winner and Saidi Kirabira taking the men’s overall title after consistent performances across their best eight rounds of the season.
The Grand Tee of Tees capped an active year for MTN Uganda’s partnership with Entebbe Club. Earlier in the week, MTN officially opened the refurbished clubhouse, a key milestone under the partnership signed in 2023. The upgrade followed the unveiling of the MTN Halfway House in December 2024, projects that have strengthened facilities at East Africa’s oldest golf club and enhanced the playing experience.
MTN Uganda’s involvement in golf in 2025 extended beyond the Monthly Tee series. The company also announced sponsorship support for professional golfer Ronald Rugumayo, backing his participation on international tours during a landmark period for Ugandan golf on the global stage.
With the curtain falling on the 2025 calendar, MTN Uganda says it remains committed to its partnership with Entebbe Club and to supporting the growth of golf in Uganda through sustained investment.
Among the standout performers at the Grand Tee of Tees were Ntombi Kejem in the guest category, Tonny Kisadha among the seniors, and Allan Muhereza, Philemon Akaturuhira and Mathias Kalule across the men’s groups.
Esther Aganyira, Peace Hellen and Edith Wamalwa topped the ladies Order of Merit standings, while Saidi Kirabira led the men’s rankings ahead of Arthur Arinaitwe and Mathias Kalule.
