Ugandan referees have been confirmed on the FIFA Refereeing International Lists for 2026, FUFA has announced, clearing the selected officials to handle FIFA and CAF competitions during the upcoming international season.
The confirmation underscores Uganda’s continued presence on the global refereeing stage and follows sustained investment by FUFA in training, assessment, fitness and integrity programmes. The federation says its referees committee has prioritised performance management and exposure through regular local and international courses aimed at aligning officials with global standards.
Uganda will be represented across multiple categories. The referees named on the list are Kasalirwe Lucky Razake, Nabadda Shamirah, Okello Dick, Murungi Diana, Oloya William, Nantongo Josephine, Duula Joshua and Olemu George.
Assistant referees confirmed are Katenya Ronald, Ongiera Immaculate, Okudra Emmanuel, Nassolo Elizabeth, Mulindwa Hakim, Mutonyi Jane, Musisi Brianson, Nantabo Lydia Wanyama, Katerega Ashraf, Nayebare Babrah and Magoola Ashraf.
The country will also have representation in specialised disciplines. Nsubuga Brian Emmy and Sengendo Isaac were listed as futsal referees, while Kintu Ivan Bayige, Ssenteza Muhammad, Kawagga Bazirio Kennedy and Munyendoh Joel Chote were named for beach soccer.
FUFA views the appointments as a reflection of steady progress in refereeing standards and a platform for further growth, with the selected officials expected to fly the national flag at continental and global assignments throughout 2026.
