Rap icon Snoop Dogg has outlined a bold vision for Swansea City, aiming to use his massive platform to transform the Championship club into a global powerhouse.
The 54-year-old, who became a minority investor last July, told Wales Online he wants to be “hands-on” in helping the club return to the Premier League. “We are going to need money—that’s the reality of the game,” Snoop said. “I want to introduce sponsorship deals and publicity that will make them a global name.”
Snoop Dogg joins a high-profile ownership group that includes Real Madrid star Luka Modrić and lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart. While he has yet to attend a game at the Swansea.com Stadium, the rapper confirmed he plans to visit this season to meet the “passionate” supporters.
The club’s American leadership hopes the influx of celebrity star power will provide the financial and commercial boost needed to secure promotion to the top flight.
