Holders Barcelona advanced to the Copa del Rey semi-finals with a -1 victory over Segunda Division side Albacete at the Estadio Carlos Belmonte.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 39th minute, curling home his 14th goal of the season after high pressing from Frenkie de Jong and Marcus Rashford.
Rashford, on loan from Manchester United, turned provider in the second half. His 56th-minute corner was headed home by Ronald Araujo, making Rashford only the third player in Spain to reach double figures for both goals and assists this season.
Albacete, who famously knocked out Real Madrid in the previous round, sparked late hope when Javi Moreno scored in the 87th minute.
However, Hansi Flick’s side held firm through stoppage time to end the hosts’ fairytale run and secure their place in the final four.
