The Mukono Zone Secondary Schools Sports Association has opened the bidding process for schools interested in hosting the 2026 zonal games, with institutions required to submit detailed proposals by February 13, 2026.
The initiative aims to secure venues capable of delivering a strong competitive and organisational environment for student athletes and spectators.
The championships will run across two school terms. Term One competitions will feature boys football, girls football, basketball 5×5, and racquet games.
Term Two will cover Ball Games 2 including netball, volleyball and handball, alongside athletics, swimming, under-age categories, basketball 3×3, dancesport, football, and baseball.
Schools seeking hosting rights must present comprehensive bid documents outlining event overviews, accommodation arrangements, water supply plans, security measures, food availability, and suitable playing facilities.
Proven experience in hosting sports events and evidence of financial capacity are also part of the requirements.
The association expects candidate schools to coordinate closely with district authorities before submitting their proposals to the Mukono Zone executive.
The final selection will prioritise venues capable of providing a well organised and safe experience for participants and fans during the 2026 championships.
