Nottingham Forest are nearing the appointment of former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira as their new head coach.
The move comes just hours after Sean Dyche was sacked following a 0-0 draw with bottom-side Wolves.
The 57-year-old Portuguese manager is a familiar face to Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, having previously worked under him at Olympiacos.
Pereira is credited with keeping Wolves in the Premier League last season, though he was dismissed in November after a poor start to the current campaign.
If confirmed, Pereira will become Forest’s fourth manager of a turbulent season, joining after Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, and Dyche.
He inherits a side sitting just three points above the relegation zone with 12 games remaining.
