Thomas Bamuteeze has officially launched the Legacy Corporate Games, a new corporate sports initiative aimed at improving employee wellness while strengthening professional networks across companies.
The initiative, unveiled on February 17 at Sheraton Hotel Kampala, builds on Bamuteeze’s earlier involvement in the original Corporate Games.
He said the new platform continues his long term effort to sustain corporate sport and encourage healthier workplace lifestyles.
Speaking at the launch, Bamuteeze stressed the need for physical activity among office workers.
“Many people spend long hours seated in offices without engaging in any physical exercise. This initiative is aimed at creating an opportunity for them to get active and promote healthy living after spending the entire day at their desks,” he said.
Sponsors at the launch pledged support for the programme, noting that its focus on wellness, partnership, and community engagement fits broader corporate social responsibility goals.
Organisers confirmed the games will begin on March 15, 2026, featuring sports such as basketball, football, netball, chess, tug of war, among others.
