Kitara have strengthened their title push with the signing of Shaban Muhammad, who has joined on a two year contract after returning to the Uganda Premier League as a free agent.
The striker recently parted ways with Ethiopia Bunna FC.
The arrival of the Uganda Cranes forward underlines ambition at Kitara FC as they chase the league title.
The club sit three points behind leaders Vipers SC, who have played one match more.
Shaban is widely viewed as one of Uganda’s most reliable finishers, and his signing reduces the scoring burden that had largely fallen on Patrick Kaddu.
His record in domestic football remains strong, particularly from productive spells at Onduparaka FC and KCCA FC, where he scored consistently across multiple stints.
The striker also brings international experience after featuring for Raja Casablanca, as well as Libyan clubs Al Hilal Benghazi and Al Anwar, adding depth and pedigree to Kitara’s attacking options for the remainder of the season.
