Tammy Abraham proved he hasn’t lost his scoring touch at Villa Park, netting an 88th-minute equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Saturday.
The 28-year-old, who famously fired Aston Villa to promotion seven years ago, scored just 13 minutes after coming off the bench.
It marks his second goal since a £18.2m January move from Besiktas.
“It feels like a dream to come back and play for this club again,” Abraham said. “I just need to find myself a house!”
While the late goal sparked celebrations, Villa’s title hopes are fading. They remain third with 51 points, but now sit seven points adrift of leaders Arsenal with 11 games remaining.
Manager Unai Emery continues to downplay title talk, describing the current third-place position as “enviable” and “fantastic.”
He also hinted at a permanent tactical shift, praising how Abraham and Ollie Watkins played together upfront rather than competing for a single spot.
