Buhimba United Saints have signed former Express FC and Vipers SC midfielder Musa Ssali on a two year contract as they step up their fight against relegation.
Ssali becomes the club’s second mid season addition after defender Simon Baligeya, with the Saints moving quickly to reinforce key areas ahead of the decisive run in. The midfielder had been a free agent since leaving Mbale Heroes FC, where he featured in the latter half of last season.
His career began at St Mary’s Kitende before he broke into the senior ranks with Vipers during the 2020 to 2021 Uganda Premier League campaign.
He exited Vipers at the start of the 2023 to 2024 season and later turned out for Arua Hill SC before sealing a move to Express in the second half of that campaign.
Known for his work rate and calmness in possession, Ssali is expected to add balance and depth to Buhimba’s midfield at a critical stage of the season.
Under head coach Robert Mukasa, Buhimba United Saints sit 14th on the league table with 15 points from 17 matches, just above the relegation places as the survival battle intensifies.
