A Nigerian court has adjourned the case against the driver involved in a December crash that injured boxer Anthony Joshua and killed two of his teammates.
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, appeared at Sagamu Magistrates Court on Wednesday facing charges of death by dangerous driving and driving without a valid license.
The case was pushed to March 13 to allow prosecutors more time to prepare evidence.
The December 29 accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway when the vehicle struck a stationary lorry.
While Joshua was treated and released from the hospital, the crash claimed the lives of his personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami.
The 36-year-old former heavyweight champion has since returned to the gym, recently sharing his focus on “mental strength therapy” following the tragedy.
