NEC have completed the signing of midfielder Tonny Atukunda on a three year contract, strengthening the core of their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Atukunda joins from SC Villa Jogoo, where he played a role in the club’s historic 17th Uganda Premier League title.
His move adds top flight experience and a winning mentality to the NEC dressing room at a time the club is focused on building a stronger spine.
The midfielder first rose to prominence during his school days at Standard High School Zana, impressing in national school competitions with his calmness on the ball and work rate.
That platform helped him transition smoothly into senior football, where he developed into a reliable presence in midfield.
At NEC, Atukunda is expected to operate at the heart of the team under Coach Kaddu Badru, offering control in possession and defensive steel.
