Mercy Nyachama will take a two shot lead into the final round of the MTN Entebbe Ladies Open 2026 after carding a steady second round to move to 149, seven over par, at Entebbe Club.
The Kenyan, who shared the overnight lead, now sits alone at the top of the Gross Amateur Ladies leaderboard after 36 holes, tightening her grip on the championship heading into Saturday’s decider.
Defending 2024 champion Peace Kabasweka remains firmly in the hunt. She is tied for second on 151, nine over par, alongside Tanzania’s Neema Olomi. The pair trail Nyachama by two shots, setting up a direct battle in the final group.
Martha Babirye is fourth on 155, thirteen over par, six shots off the lead with one round to play.
Further down the leaderboard, Judith Komugisha sits fifth on 160, while Joyce Kisembo is sixth on 161. Lillian Koowe and Racheal Natukunda are tied seventh at 162, with Meron Kyomugisha ninth on 163. Frista Birabwa completes the top ten on 164.
Speaking after her round, Nyachama expressed satisfaction with her performance and confidence heading into the final day.
“I am happy about today’s results, I came prepared and focused. The 18th hole was great, I was able to score a birdie,” she said.
“Going into tomorrow I have no pressure and I know I will win it. Thank you to MTN for sponsoring this tournament it means alot to us the ladies in golf,” she added.
With 18 holes remaining and only two shots separating first and second, the championship remains finely poised ahead of the closing round at Entebbe.
