LeBron James made history again on Thursday, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most field goals in NBA history during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 120-113 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
The 41-year-old, now in his 23rd season, entered the night needing six baskets to break the record of 15,837.
He eclipsed the mark in the first quarter, finishing the game with 15,842 career field goals.
“Being mentioned with the greats has always been humbling,” James said. “It’s a pretty cool feat, but it’s hard to wrap my head around it.”
