The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has confirmed the Round of 16 fixtures for the Stanbic Uganda Cup, setting up a series of matches across the country starting March 16.
The knockout phase begins on Monday at Kagaba Playground in Kassanda where Happy Boys Kagaba host Six O’clock FC, with both sides chasing an early place in the quarterfinals of Uganda’s main domestic cup competition.
Action continues on Tuesday at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. NEC FC, runners-up in 2024, will face Lugazi FC in the first match before nine-time winners KCCA FC take on Onduparaka FC at the same venue later in the day.
Wednesday’s programme features two fixtures. Kitara FC will host Bunyaruguru United at The Royals Park, while defending champions Vipers SC welcome Iganga United at St Mary’s Stadium.
The following evening, record league champions SC Villa face Maroons FC under floodlights at the FUFA Technical Centre.
The Round of 16 concludes on Friday with a double header at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo. URA FC meet Red Devo FC in the first match before Express FC take on Tapoh FC in the final fixture of the round.
The Round of 16 continues the knockout stage of the competition, with clubs from the top divisions and lower leagues competing for a place in the quarterfinals and a chance to fight for one of the country’s major domestic trophies.
