Holistics FC Ladies marked International Women’s Day with a 2 to 1 victory over TY Sheldo in Match Day Two of the Chaapa League Season 11 on Sunday at Luzira.
The win returned Holistics to winning ways after a determined display against their male opponents. Holistics are the only women’s team competing in the Chaapa League and produced a resilient performance to secure all three points early in the season.
They showed discipline and persistence across the match, holding their shape and taking their chances to edge a tightly contested game.
The result carried extra significance as the team celebrated International Women’s Day with a statement performance against their counterparts.
Elsewhere on Match Day Two, CHOGM and Dindiswayo played out a 1 to 1 draw, while Ruharo also shared the points with Omutaji after another 1 to 1 stalemate. Burdizo and Mutakoha could not be separated in a goalless draw, as Rugabo claimed a narrow 1 to 0 win over Kataara.
The Chaapa League continues to grow as a community competition that brings together teams and supporters while supporting grassroots football development.
