ED Buzeki Says Britam Deal Strengthens KCCA’s Long Term Stability

Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Sharifah Buzeki has welcomed the renewal of the partnership between Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club and Britam Insurance, saying the agreement provides crucial support for the club’s players and staff.

The insurance firm has extended its deal with the club for another three years, a move that will see Britam remain the official insurance partner from the 2025 to 2028 period. The partnership, which began in 2016, includes medical insurance coverage for players and their families.

Buzeki said the renewal reflects strong belief in the club’s direction and the value of the relationship built over the years.

“This three-year renewal is a powerful vote of confidence in our club’s future. Beyond logo placement, Britam has been a true partner in progress, supporting our entire ecosystem through every success and challenge,” she said.

“While we value the commercial support, it is their steadfast commitment to the health and peace of mind of our players and staff that truly sets this partnership apart, allowing our team to focus entirely on performing at the highest level.”

The agreement continues a decade long collaboration between the club and the insurance company, with the focus remaining on safeguarding the welfare of players and staff while supporting the club’s operations.

Buzeki said that level of security is important for a professional team whose players face the physical demands of elite football.

The renewed deal is expected to keep providing insurance coverage and welfare support as KCCA FC continues its domestic and continental ambitions.
