Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has made NBA history, breaking Wilt Chamberlain’s 63-year-old record for the most consecutive 20-point games.
During the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 104-102 win over the Boston Celtics, the 27-year-old reigning MVP reached the milestone with a 20-foot jumper in the third quarter.
This marked his 127th straight game scoring at least 20 points—a streak dating back to November 2024. Chamberlain’s previous record of 126 games had stood since 1963.
“All the records and accomplishments are great, but they don’t matter if you don’t win,” said Gilgeous-Alexander, who finished with 35 points, nine assists, and six rebounds.
Despite the historic individual feat, the Canadian star remained focused on the team’s success as the Thunder continue their push for a second consecutive NBA title.
