Bayern Munich could hand 16-year-old Leonard Prescott his debut in Wednesday’s Champions League tie against Atalanta.
With Jonas Urbig recovering from concussion and veterans Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich sidelined, head coach Vincent Kompany confirmed Prescott is on standby.
The German youth international has been on Bayern’s bench recently but would need special clearance to play at night due to his age.
“Leonard is very calm. If he plays he will have our full backing,” Kompany said.
Bayern, Bundesliga leaders, will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals if they progress.
