The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has opened applications for pre-selection to its Educators’ Pathway Course, as it moves to strengthen technical capacity under its Technical Master Plan.
In a statement released on Thursday, FUFA said the initiative is designed to identify and prepare qualified personnel to serve as Football Instructors across different areas of the game. The federation described the development of a strong pool of educators as central to improving the delivery of football programmes across the country.
Under the framework, Football Educators will act as resource persons responsible for training trainers through the Training of Trainers model, while Football Instructors will focus on transferring knowledge and skills to coaches, teachers, trainers and specialists under the Training of Students structure.
FUFA explained that coaches will handle both practical and theoretical instruction for players, teachers will focus on theory, and trainers will concentrate on practical skill development. Specialists will provide technical support to enhance coaching delivery, with some educators also expected to take on instructor roles depending on their qualifications and experience.
The instructors will be categorised across administration, refereeing, coaching and specialised fields, with pathways extending to regional, national and international levels under CAF, FIFA and FUFA structures.
FUFA has invited interested candidates to submit applications for the pre-qualification evaluation exercise, which will also serve as a re-evaluation platform for existing instructors. The deadline for submissions is 5pm on April 15, 2026.
The federation added that it continues to prioritise structured education and training as a key pillar for sustainable football development in Uganda.
