Lionel Messi has reached another historic milestone, becoming only the second player in football history to score 900 top-level career goals.
The 38-year-old struck just seven minutes into Inter Miami’s Concacaf Champions Cup tie against Nashville SC.
Messi’s tally spans a glittering career: 672 goals for Barcelona, 32 for PSG, 81 for Inter Miami, and 115 for Argentina. Known for his left foot, he has scored 755 times with it, alongside 112 penalties and 70 free-kicks.
He now joins Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 959 goals, in the exclusive 900-goal club. Former teammate and Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano hailed him as “one of a kind,” reflecting on a career that includes a record 91 goals in 2012 and eight Ballon d’Or titles.
Messi’s latest feat cements his place as one of football’s greatest ever.
