Mercedes have appointed Bradley Lord as deputy team principal, formalizing a role he has effectively held in practice.
Lord, previously the team’s chief communications officer and official representative, steps into the position as Mercedes dominate the early season with consecutive one-two finishes in Australia and China.
“With the growth of our team and F1, the scope of our operations has grown significantly,” said CEO and Team Principal Toto Wolff. “This change reflects responsibilities already being carried out.”
The move strengthens Mercedes’ leadership as rivals face turbulence, including Audi’s shock loss of team principal Phil Wheatley after just two races.
