The Enterprise Cup resumes today with four Ugandan clubs entering the quarter-finals of the revived regional competition against Kenyan opposition.
Stanbic Black Pirates, Platinum Credit Heathens, KCB KOBs and Toyota Buffaloes represent Uganda after finishing as the top four teams in the 2025 Uganda Cup, with Pirates crowned champions.
The opening round is split across both countries under a cross-border format. In Uganda, Black Pirates host KCB Rugby while Heathens face Kabras Sugar. In Kenya, Toyota Buffaloes travel to Menengai Oilers and KCB KOBs take on Nondescripts.
The competition has been reintroduced to strengthen club-level rugby between Uganda and Kenya, with an emphasis on raising standards and preparing players for international duty.
Uganda Rugby Union president Godwin Kayangwe Arinaitwe said the tournament offers a key platform for development and regional connection.
“Participating in this prestigious tournament is a game changer for our clubs. It will sharpen the skills of our athletes, breeding a new generation of fiercely competitive players ready to dominate on regional and international stages,” he said.
He added: “Beyond the thrill of the tackles and tries, the Enterprise Cup strengthens the unbreakable bonds between our two nations, promoting unity, cultural exchange, and the spirit of East African brotherhood.”
Semi-finals are scheduled for April 11, with the final set for May 30.
