The Basketball Africa League (BAL) returns for its sixth season, running March 27–May 31 across South Africa, Morocco, and Rwanda.
Twelve teams will contest 42 games, with the top eight advancing to the Kigali playoffs.
The Kalahari Conference opens at SunBet Arena in Pretoria (Mar 27–Apr 5), featuring Petro de Luanda, Al Ahly Ly, Nairobi City Thunder, Dar City, RSSB Tigers, and debutants Johannesburg Giants.
The Sahara Conference follows in Rabat (Apr 24–May 3), with Al Ahly, Club Africain, FUS Rabat, Ville de Dakar, JCA Giants, and Maktown Flyers.
This season is historic: three former MVPs, Mike Dixon, Jo Lual‑Acuil, and Jean‑Jacques Boissy, will play, while five teams make their BAL debut.
NBA veterans including Hasheem Thabeet and Damion Baugh add star power.
Playoffs run May 22–31 in Kigali, with seeding based on conference rankings.
